No age, no civilisation ever held greater opportunity or promise than this, yet it is distinguished only in its great greed and exploitation. A herd mentality of self-interest so extreme it now threatens its own very existence. As forests burn and seas rise an ever rising debt is secured against inflated aspiration, which will yield no purchase in the coming tide of devastation.
