It’s an effort to find motivation these days and a form of mental paralysis with the extended semi-lockdown situation. It has become a day to day ordeal just to fill my time. As winter closes in I will find myself increasingly confined indoors and covid stubbornly won’t give up its grip on much of the globe. I have been busy with study and research into some writing projects. I have recently engaged with online academic pursuits, and this has helped get some structure back into my days, boosted my mental health too. One project is working on transcribing early manuscripts, not everyone’s cup of tea but I find it quite compelling, like working on a word puzzle. Another is a reading group. I continue with some writing projects which also need research, background reading on English Civil War has been required for one of the projects on my agenda. Good news re possible vaccines in the pipeline so there is some hope that normal life may soon get back on track at last. Christmas looks to be a very quiet celebration this year, so it should be peaceful at least. Other than that not much to report, so I will spare you my ramblings for now.
